Reference services

Reference staff will help users find the information they need by:

• searching in the collection
• referring users to other sources of expertise within Statistics Canada and outside
• providing orientation to the Library's collection and facilities

Please use the Reference form to send us your requests. We can also be contacted at 613‑951‑8219 or by email at biblionet@statcan.gc.ca. The Library will refer some requests for Statistics Canada data to the Statistics Canada National Contact Centre at 613-951-8116 or 1‑800‑263‑1136, or where applicable, to subject-matter divisions.

The Library operates in the context of a network of federal and research libraries in Canada, and maintains its position in this cooperative environment by responding to enquiries for statistical information from other libraries, their clients, or the public.
